Omerful of Manna

"This is what the LORD has commanded, 'Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread that I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt.'"

A Liturgy of a Student

Glass roof no more, Jesus
Shatter the roof that limits our love for you, my precious Lord
Set us free to love you with a reckless love
Set us free to love you with a compassion for people
Set us free to love you with a deepening humility

Set us free to be prayer warriors on the front line of the battlefield
Set us free to be movers and shakers in our classrooms
Set us free to leave societal norms to turn
Our schools,
Our living situations,
Our daily lives,
Into a beautiful craziness that only you can imagine!

Remove any hindrance.
Help us embrace your changes in us,
Help us to embrace each other, be vulnerable,
Help us speak truth in love
Help us to bind one another’s wounds and bring healing.

Gift us with
Eyes to see
Ears to hear
Rocks and hammers
To break other people’s glass roofs.
Glass roof, no more, Jesus.
Shatter the roof of love for you, my precious Lord.
